Community Coffee: Bring a Little Bit of Mardi Gras Into Your Home! A Review and Give-a-way!

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you had the opportunity recently to be introduced to Community Coffee, a coffee company in a class by themselves!

Based in Louisiana, they of course are big supporters of the Mardi Gras Tradition.  Occuring on Febuary 16, 2010 it is a celebration of all things Louisiana.  Most people will never have the chance to experience not only the Parade itself, but the traditions that go along with it as well.

Thats why Community Coffee created it's limited edition Carnivale Cake Ground Coffee Gift Set.  Consisting of a bag of Carnivale Cake flavored coffee, a special limited edition tumbler, and strands of Mardi Gras beads, it is the perfect way to bring a little bit of Mardi Gras into your own home.

"Celebrate Mardi Gras 2010 with friends, family and business associates by sending this exclusive gift set which includes Carnivale Cake ground coffee and our Mardi Gras travel tumbler. To complete the duo we include Mardi Gras beads. Order yours today, as supplies are limited! Laissez les bon temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)

Carnivale Cake coffee is a medium roasted, Central American flavored coffee with a perfectly balanced blend of vanilla and cinnamon. Enjoy the flavor of Mardi Gras in every cup. [12 oz. bag]"

Of course, they also sell the actual Carnivale Cake as well! Check this out ( and please..no drooling on my blog!)

"Marguerite's Cream Cheese King Cake

Enjoy the same great taste as a traditional King Cake filled with cream cheese. This braided sweet roll dough pastry is laced with cinnamon and cream cheese and iced in the Mardi Gras colors of purple (justice), green (faith) and gold (power). Each cake includes a tiny plastic baby that is inserted before shipping. Tradition has it that the person who receives the baby in his/her piece must buy the next King Cake or host the next party. Approximately 12 servings.

Would you like a little “lagniappe” (\`lan-yap\) to help celebrate the flavor of New Orleans right in your own home? For a limited time, receive a FREE 12 oz bag of our CafĂ© Special® coffee with the purchase of every King Cake. This medium-dark blend yields a full-bodied cup of coffee that is served in the finest New Orleans restaurants. With a distinctive taste and aroma, paired with King Cake, it is sure to please. "

Right now they have $2.00 special on shipping too!

I received the Carnival Cake Mardi Gras Gift set to try for this review and from the moment I opened the box I could smell the sweet aroma of the coffee.  It has a unique taste that you will not find anywhere else!  I love the coffee tumbler and take it with me everywhere!  It is the only tumbler I have ever found that allows me to drink coffee on the go without spilling it all over myself.  And everytime I look at it I am reminded of what a wonderful and magical place Louisiana truly is.

You gotta love this company.  They are offering my readers a chance to win their very own Limited Edition Mardi Gras Gift Set!  Consisting of a 12 oz bag of Carnivale Cake Coffee, a special limited edition tumbler, and Mardi Gras beads it is the perfect way to bring this great tradition into your own home!
